Southeast Missouri Hospital supports our Adopt A School, Central Middle School. Each Month, we participate in their Student of the Month ceremony, handing out special Orange Ribbons to the winners. We also publish the winners each month in the Southeast Missourian Junior Page, which is published the last Tuesday of the month.

Ms. Balsano salutes Rachel Bagby

Rachel is a very kind young lady with a respectful attitude.  She also has a fun-loving personality that is out of this world.  I love Rachel's smile, helpful hand, and determination to learn.  Rachel has also made this wonderful impression on her Math teacher, Ms. DeLuca.  

Mrs. Dodd salutes Angelo Gonzalez

Angelo as been an exceptional student with his work habits and behavior all year.  He does not procrastinate when it comes to his work.  If there is an assignment due in a week, he gets it completed right away.  Angelo has not had a strike for behavior the entire year and I am confident the rest of the year will be the same.  I have been extremely fortunate to have Angelo in class and get to know him this year. 

Mrs. Gattis salutes Madison Pierce

Madison is a hard working well behaved student.  She always makes good use of her time in class and follows classroom rules.  While quiet in class, she has a lively sense of humor that is sure to keep you laughing!  What a joy she is to have in class.  Congratulations Madison Pierce!

Mrs. Haggerty salutes Tramonee Stewart

Tramonee is a joy to teach in the classroom.  She participates in class discussions and offers to help others when they are having a difficult time with their studies.  Tramonee always completes her homework and is self-motivated to do well in school.   She is a hard worker, a caring individual, and a respectful student.  Congratulations, Tramonee!

Ms. Hardin salutes Hannah Sterling

Hannah is always prepared for class and willing to help anyone in need.  Hannah always works hard and puts forth more effort than necessary to get her assignments finished.  Hannah is always smiling and writing me sweet notes in her planner that just make my day. Thanks for all you do Hannah!!

Mrs. Hecht salutes Sydney Hoppe

Sydney is such a sweet girl, always polite, always helpful.  She is the first to offer assistance to a peer who might be struggling. Sydney works hard to complete all of her assignments neatly and with her best effort. I am so proud to be her teacher. Keep up the great work, Sydney!!!!

 

Mrs. Hunter salutes Thomas Reyes

Thomas is so kind and considerate of others.  He shared his AR treat with me because he said I helped him earn it!!  He always says "yes ma'am" and "no ma'am.  That is very rare to hear these days, and is very appreciated!  On top of that, Thomas has made "B" honor roll and made his AR goal every quarter.  Great job, Thomas!!

Ms. Lange salutes Jalen Reddin

Jalen has done a fantastic job of turning in his work and raising his grades.  I have been impressed not only with his academic achievements, but also with his attitude and behavior.  Jalen is quick to lend a helping hand and be courteous to peers and adults.  We are so proud of you, Jalen!  Keep up the good work!

Ms. A. Malone salutes Christian Ramos

Christian Ramos is without a doubt, the best choice for my student of the month! He has worked very hard this year and he hasn’t ever given up. Christian is also a great example for any student at CMS. He is always polite, cooperative, and a friend to everyone. I’m so proud of Christian and I’m sure he’ll keep up the great work he’s already doing.

Ms. M. Malone salutes Andrew Mehner

Andrew has developed into an exemplary student.  His work is neat, well-done and turned in on time, he listens to and follows instructions the first time they are given and he truly wants to learn.  Ms. Malone really appreciates all of Andrew’s efforts and is glad to have him in her class!!

 Mrs. Mehner salutes Warren Chambliss

This was an obvious choice!  Warren shows respect towards teachers on a daily basis by responding “Yes Ma’am” or “No Ma’am” in a sincere tone of voice.  During the school day, he has his eyes on the teacher, following the lesson and participating.  Warren is kind –hearted and has a great sense of humor.  He is a special part of our class. 

Mrs. Wischmann salutes Sierra Smith

Sierra has got to be one of the hardest working students here at CMS.  She is always determined to do her very best.  Sierra is a joy to have in class, she is an awesome listener, follows directions the first time they are given, and is willing to help others.  My class would not be the same without Sierra Smith - keep up the hard work, Sierra, I'm so proud of you!

Mrs. Deevers salutes Justin Emmenderfer

It is great having Justin in class.  He is a very responsible and respectful student who follows instructions and always turns his work in on time.  Thanks Justin for being a wonderful example of a Peaceful, Accountable, and Well-behaved student.  Keep up the great work!      

Mrs. Dugan salutes Jacob Boerboom

Jacob is a very intelligent young man who loves to read.  He actively participated in the Truman Reading Program and Video Project.  During class time, Jacob is always willing to help out a classmate or myself.  Thanks for just being you, Jacob!

Ms. Ford salutes Austin Pittman

Austin is a great student to have in class.  This year he has made vast improvements in his school work.  Austin is always concerned with getting his homework finished.  He also uses his work time well to quietly finish his homework.  Keep up the good work Austin!

Mrs.Young salutes Michael Vrabel

Since his arrival, Michael has been generous and always pleasant.  He is always on task and has never been given a warning let alone a strike.  He tries his very best on all of his work and asks for help when he needs it.  He is gentle and very kind to everyone around him.  Michael is truly a pleasure to have in class. 

Mrs. Jones salutes Alex Ogle

Alex does his very best on all his assignments.  He is an excellent student – in both behavior and academics.  He has been on the A honor roll every quarter.  Alex is kind hearted and a considerate young man.  He is always willing to help me and other students in our class.  Thanks and Congratulations Alex!!

Mrs. Newman salutes Duncan McKinley

Duncan is a great role model for others in our classroom. He exhibits outstanding behavior in and out of school along with a great work ethic when it comes to his studies.  Duncan has a take charge attitude when it comes to his academics.  When Duncan misses school, he returns ALL of his make-up work the very next day.  I never have to remind him of that.  That, I appreciate!  Congratulations Duncan!

 

 

 

Mrs. Parker salutes Tiara Brown

Tiara Brown is a wonderful person.  She has such a positive influence on my class.  I can always count on her to be honest, friendly, and helpful.  Tiara is also a conscientious worker.  She has the best study habits.  It is evident in her superior grades.  I am lucky to have Tiara in my class.

Mrs. Shaffer salutes Mackenzie Patterson

Mackenzie is always willing to lend a helping hand around the classroom and she works well with others. Mackenzie has had no strikes this year, has met her AR goal both quarters, and has achieved the B Honor Roll both quarters. I am very proud of Mackenzie, and I am fortunate to have her as a part of my class. Keep up the great work, Mackenzie!

Mrs. Stevens salutes Angela Schrum

Angela's kindness and caring towards others is an inspiration to us all. I have witnessed her give up something she has earned many times to someone who she thinks needs it more. Angela always follows directions the first time they are given and is always available with a helping hand to anyone who needs it. Angela is a role model for all her fellow classmates. Congratulations, Angela Schrum!

Mrs. Valleroy salutes Audre Stewart

Audre is a hard working young man who does not give up.  He keeps working until the task is finished.  He is polite and well mannered and liked by everyone.  Audre starts out most days with his bright smile on his face.  Audre is a huge asset to our class.  Thanks Audre, keep up the good work.

Mrs. Wilson salutes Chandler Bagley

Chandler is an avid reader which certainly helps him be an excellent student.  He always strives to complete his work on time and accurately.  He is a student who will definitely reach any goals he sets for himself.  Congratulations, Chandler!!!

Mrs. Yates salutes Josh Greaser

Josh seems to love school and his classmates.  Everyday I can count on Josh to be doing just exactly what has been asked of him.  He is on the A honor roll and enjoys many other extracurricular activities at CMS.  It’s common for me to be told by Josh that he can’t wait to get back to his AR book because it is SO good!  What a pleasure to have a student that loves school and contributes so positively to the classroom environment.  Josh is a real delight!
