Southeast Missouri Hospital has
officially adopted Central Middle School (CMS)
for a sixth
year. Southeast has been the Middle School adopt-a-school sponsor since the school opened in its new location six years ago.
Each month, Southeast sponsors the Student of the Month presentations, sending staff to personally congratulate students and presenting them with a bright orange ribbon. These Students of the Month are also featured on the Hospital's page in each month's Missourian Jr. newspaper.
All Students of the Month are then treated to a pizza lunch at Lacey's on the Hill at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
In addition, all Students of the Month are treated to a special lunch in the spring by the Hospital.
Southeast also sponsors also activities and presentations during the school year, including a holiday luncheon for staff and Internet Safety programs.
Adopt-A-School activities are coordinated through Southeast's Marketing Department. |

In addition, the Middle School students to “give back” in any way they can. Middle School students have entertained Hospital visitors and staff with Christmas carols, created tray favors and cards with get-well wishes for patients, and made decorations for Hospital employee celebrations. Last year, the knitting club made special hats for newborns.
