A Seminar for Registered Professional Nurses, Student Nurses & Others Interested in Meeting the ANCC Standards of Best Practices

Registration
$50 for nurses.
Free for nursing students.
Registration fee includes breaks, materials and lunch.
Registration closes on April 25, 2008.

Upon completion of this seminar, the participant will be able to:

  1. Discuss the ACE Star Model as it relates to Evidence Based Practice and Research.
  2. Define palliative care and its impact in today’s healthcare market.
  3. Describe one effective implementation technique for a successful nurse home visitation program.
  4. Compare Lidocaine to normal saline for local anesthesia for IV insertion.

This program has been approved for 6.4 contact hours. Southeast Missouri Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Missouri Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Paula Cooper Clutter

Paula Cooper Clutter is Assistant Professor Clinical for the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas. She is a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Kathleen Stevens/Director of University of Texas UTHSCSA Health Sciences Academic Center for Evidence-Based Practice. Dr. Clutter has been a principle investigator and project team leader for research projects involving the ACE Star Model.
