This program is designed to provide nurses, students and allied health professionals an educational opportunities to enhance their knowledge base in the care of patients with cancer.

Registration
$50 for nurses and allied health professionals.
Free for nursing students and for Southeast Missouri Hospital staff members.
Registration fee includes materials and break refreshments. Lunch on your own.
Registration closes on April 14, 2008.

Upon completion of this seminar, the participant will be able to:

List the benefits of having a coordinated Brain and Spine Tumor Program.
Discuss ways to optimize patient’s nutritional status during cancer treatment.
Identify the eligibility requirements for Home Health benefits under CMS for patients in need of disease management for cancer.
Verbalize types of services that Home Health can provide the cancer patient.
Identify opportunities to support patient’s wishes regarding care and treatment.
Identify ethical or moral issues that may surround a patient’s experience
