Epidural
analgesia provides a welcomed means of pain relief
for the pregnant patient undergoing labor and
delivery. The Department of Anesthesiology is
pleased to offer you the option to have epidural
analgesia during your labor and delivery with
anesthesia professionals in-house 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.
In order to assure that you have
received adequate information to make an informed
decision regarding your anesthesia options, Southeast
Missouri Hospital offers education and a thorough
pre-anesthesia evaluation for all our patients.
Please plan this session prior to the 7th month
of your pregnancy.
NOTE: If you are
scheduled for the three-week Childbirth Preparation
Class, you still
need to sign up for a separate Epidural Class. |
