Sibling Class

Wednesdays, 6-7:30 p.m., For Children Ages 4-8

No fee for classes. Pre-registration is required as many classes fill up quickly.

The purpose of Sibling Class is to discuss and understand what it means to become a big brother or sister. Children learn how to hold a baby and how to help with diapering and feeding. These soon-to-be big brothers and sisters may discuss the way they feel about the new arrival and have a chance to practice with dolls.

Children see special videos and make a gift for their new baby. They also tour the obstetrical unit while wearing gowns, caps and shoe covers. During the last 30 minutes of the class, parents and children share time together as they prepare for their new baby. Refreshments are served, and at the end of the class,

Sibling Class graduates receive diplomas.
