All RNs were invited to one of three "pinning" ceremonies where they received their Magnet pin. Karen Hendrickson, EdD, RN, CNAA, BC, chief nursing officer, personally did the pinning and congratulated the nurses. All other employees were invited to a celebration as well, received a special pin for those who work at Magnet Hospitals.

All new nurses receive their Magnet pin by a member of Nursing administration.
