Internet Access
Don't worry that you'll lose touch digitally with friends and family when you visit
Southeast Missouri Hospital. Southeast was one of the first hospitals in the state to
offer free high-speed Internet service campus-wide, and that access was upgraded
recently to make it even better.
The Wi-Fi service has been especially popular on the Obstetrics Unit, as families send
e-mails or digital images of newborns shortly after birth, or upload photos wirelessly to
computers or printers.
The wireless Internet is also well-used by business people who have loved ones in
the hospital but need to stay connected. They can easily access e-mail and the Internet,
while providing the presence they need for their family member.
Magazines and Books
Volunteers place donated magazines in waiting areas for your and your visitors to borrow while in the Hospital. The Hospital Auxiliary also provides mini-libraries in waiting areas. If you remove a book from the Hospital, please consider either returning it later, replacing it with another book, or making a donation to the Auxiliary Book Fund. Returned books and donations can be left at the Information Desk in the Hospital Lobby or the Volunteer Services office on the second floor.
